What Components Make Up A Cooling Fan

The components of a cooling fan include: fan blades, fan frames, bearings, enameled wires, soft magnetic strips, silicon steel sheets, drive ICs, and materials such as resistors, capacitors, and wires.
1. Fan frame and blade
The frame and fan blades are generally made of PBT material, with the main advantages being affordable, environmentally friendly, fireproof, corrosion-resistant, and durable, resulting in a relatively high cost-effectiveness. Some products also require the use of metal materials to manufacture fans and frames, such as AC fans or high-power DC fans. Fan accessories can be manufactured using aluminum alloy castings or A3 molding processes.
2. Bearing system
At present, there are several types of fan bearings, including ball bearings, oil bearing, hydraulic bearing, etc. Fan manufacturers generally choose bearings based on the purpose of the product and the customer's acceptance of the product cost.
3. PCB
The substrate, also known as a circuit board, is generally made of flame-retardant board with protective treatment on the surface.
4. Electronic enameled wire
Pure copper is generally required, and some manufacturers may choose copper clad aluminum enameled wires to reduce costs. However, due to the different materials and temperature characteristics of copper clad aluminum enameled wires, the separation of copper and aluminum may occur after multiple cold and hot cycles, leading to coil damage. Please do not use copper clad aluminum enameled wires for general electrical appliances.
5. Silicon steel sheet
Generally, silicon steel with a thickness between 500 and 800 and a thickness between 0.25 and 0.5 is chosen. The more materials and thinner the thickness, the better the performance of silicon, the lower the temperature rise of the motor, the higher the magnetic permeability, and the higher the power density.
6. Magnetic materials
Including magnetic stripe and magnetic frame. General selection of magnetic materials such as rubber, injection molding, ferrite, boron, etc. Consider your choice based on multiple factors, including product power, temperature range of operating conditions, and acceptance of product cost. Non micro brush DC cooling fans typically choose low-cost rubber belts.
7. Electronic components
Mainly including electronic components such as Hall sensors, logic control chips, and power units
8. Axis
The radiator core is generally made of copper, and in low demand situations, lead or aluminum alloy materials can be used; The main materials of the fan blade shaft are iron, aluminum, and plastic.
9. Iron buckle
The iron buckle of the cooling fan is a device used to fix the fan between the fan and the fan frame. Its function is to firmly fix the fan on the fan frame to ensure that the fan can work effectively. Iron buckle rings are usually made of steel, with good strength and rigidity, and can withstand the vibration and impact forces generated during fan operation. It is usually composed of a circle of steel plates with a certain thickness and opening, allowing it to easily fix the fan.
10. Huasi
Spring washers are often referred to as spring washers in the screw industry. It is made of stainless steel and carbon steel, and carbon steel is also known as iron.
11. Spring
A spring is a component used to fasten the cooling fan, which helps support the weight of the cooling fan and generates a reaction force when the cooling fan rotates, enabling it to operate stably. The spring of a heat dissipation fan is usually made of high-strength metal material, which has high elasticity and durability.
