CPU heat sinks can be generally divided into two types of heat dissipation methods, one is air-cooled heat sinks, and the other is water-cooled heat sinks. Because today we are mainly recommending air-cooled radiators, let me first share some common knowledge about air-cooled radiators!
Working principle of air-cooled heat sink: The heat transfer base of the CPU heat sink is in close contact with the CPU. As the heat transfer base of the CPU and heat sink are both metal, there will be more or less gaps between them. The purpose of thermal conductive silicone grease is mainly to fill the gaps between the CPU and heat sink heat transfer base. Through the thermal conductive device, the heat generated by the CPU is transmitted to the heat dissipation fins, and finally, the heat on the fins is blown away by the fan on the CPU heat sink.
