Bearing Structure Of Oversize Cross-flow Fan

As we all know, cooling fans are becoming more and more important in our life, and they are also widely used in various household appliances and technology products. There is a type of cooling fan called oversize cross-flow fan. Now let's learn about the structure and mystery of the bearing of oversize cross-flow fan.
For radiators, although water cooling is a very effective way to dissipate heat, the high cost still cannot shake the important position of air cooling. However, compared with water-cooled radiator, the biggest headache of air-cooled radiator is the huge noise generated by the fan when it works.
Of course, there are many factors that determine the noise level of the cooling fan, including fan speed, fan size, fan dynamic balance, use environment, and so on. One of the most important factors is the type of fan bearings, including hydraulic bearings, ball bearings, magnetic suspension bearings, etc. What are the effects of these bearings on the silence and life of the fan? What are the differences?
It is generally recommended to select ball bearing for the bearing system of the fan, because the life of the cooling fan usually depends on the reliability of its bearing. The ball bearing system has been proved to have the characteristics of high efficiency and low heat generation. Ball bearing belongs to rolling friction, which is rolled by metal ball, with small contact surface and small friction coefficient; The oil-bearing is sliding friction with large contact surface. After long-term use, the oil will volatilize, the bearing is easy to wear, the friction coefficient is large, the later noise is large, and the service life is short. In addition to large ventilation capacity and high air pressure, the reliability of fans with good quality is also very important. The bearing form used by fans is very important here. Ball bearing is always used for high speed fans, while low speed fans use low cost oil bearing. Only one bearing is used for oil-bearing fan; Both ball bearing fans need two bearings, single ball bearing, which is "1 Ball+1 Sleeve" and still contains oil bearing. More advanced than single ball bearings are double ball bearings, namely, Two Balls. The service life of oil-bearing is generally 10000 hours, that of single ball bearing is 30000 hours, and that of double ball bearing is more than 50000 hours (when the ambient temperature is set below 25 ℃).
The oil-bearing used by the fan is sintered from copper-based powder. The oil-bearing needs to be added with lubricating oil to reduce the sliding friction. The lubricating oil is modulated by lithium grease and special oil. With a long time of operation, the oil in the bearing will volatilize and dry, the friction coefficient will increase, and the fan operation will be affected, which may cause abnormal noise, slow speed or even no rotation. The ball bearing has replaced sliding friction by rolling friction. The friction coefficient is small and overcomes the disadvantage that the friction coefficient is easy to change. Therefore, the operation stability is strong and the service life is much longer.
To sum up, through the introduction of the bearings of the oversize cross-flow fan in this article, we can understand that the bearings of the oversize cross-flow fan have some special features, and also have some unique features in regulation. Although the oversize cross-flow fan is not the most mainstream type, its application has become more and more extensive.
